Start of the project Dirmhirngasse District-Sharing

On 27.01.2020 the one-year project DIDIS- Dirmhirngasse District-Sharing, financed by the Climate and Energy Fund, was officially launched.

How can the residents of two housing estates in the 23rd district share an electric car in a station-based e-car sharing system?

Submitted to the "Electromobility in Practice" funding programme of the Climate and Energy Fund, the DIDIS - Dirmhirngasse District-Sharing project aims to provide new, practical insights on the topic of "cross-property e-car sharing".

Together with representatives of Wien Süd, Sozialbau AG, Wien Energie, e7 and Europcar/Porsche Bank as well as the UIV, first essential questions such as tariff models and the regulation of access to the garage and how to approach residents about the sharing system were discussed during the kick-off meeting of the project team

From May 2020 onwards, an e-golf will be available in the garage of the residential building of Wien Süd Dirmhirngasse 88. All residents as well as the residents of the neighboring house of Sozialbau AG can then book and use it according to their wishes and its availability.

Against the background of high car ownership rates in the districts of Vienna, the declared project goal is to avoid the need for a second car and to create a transferable e-car sharing model in non-profit/cooperative housing.
