Practice-oriented, profit-oriented business models (smart services) which at the same time also create social and environmental benefits are required for smart city concepts to be applied in practice. In the SmartServices project, such business models are developed, tested on specific application cases in urban development areas in Vienna, Graz and Salzburg and tested for their suitability for practical use in a comprehensive stakeholder process with the decision-makers and stakeholders (administration, development companies, developers, user groups, energy utilities).
The Energy Center as a project partner has taken on tasks around the Viennese urban development area (Donaufeld), which in particular includes the organization and discussion with the stakeholders, as well as the management of the work package on recommendations for politics and administration. The option study on the Donaufeld commissioned by the MA 20 will provide sound input for this purpose.
